The Pool Backwash Recycling System (PBRS) was developed by GPG Plumbing in conjunction with environmental engineers Hydrautech Designs Pty Ltd. The system collects backwash water from large swimming pools, treats it and then recycles it for use on site as irrigation water for grounds, concourse wash down or for flushing toilets. At present, commercial pool backwash is directed into the sewer system.
This system is suitable for Sports Clubs, Schools, Councils or anyone with a commercial size pool or pool complex. GPG Plumbing can assess whether a pool is a suitable candidate for the PBRS and manage the process through to implementation. All proposals include estimates of savings in water costs and trade discharge rates.
